Door County Bluegrass Camp kicked off with a concert at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay, Door County, Wisconsin last Saturday, July 31, 2010. Founders Lynn Gudmundsen and Lloyd Michelson where on hand to get things started. Eric Lewis, Tommy Burroughs, Billy Contreras, Rich Higdon, Jody Wood and the incredible Karen Mal provided a night of phenominal music. Something’s Rotten in the State of Denmark
for KIDS by KIDS presented the play Something’s Rotten in the State of Denmark at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay last week July 8-11 2010. The kids where phenomenal as always and had the audience laughing and cheering. Congratulations to the cast and the Directors Bill Bauernfeind & Renee Kujawski for putting on a fine performance.

Duct Tape The Musical at TAP
the Duct Tape Guys aka. Jim Berg and Tim Nyberg and Ben and Dan (of Ben there, Dan that) debuted “Duct Tape: the Musical” May 15th, 2010 to a sold-out house at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. The crowd was in a uproar and loved every minute giving the Duct Tape Guys a standing ovation at the end of the show. Awesome. Watch the video slideshow below then go to

Hagen Family Christmas at TAP
Julian Hagen and the Hagen family presented their annual Christmas Show at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay on December 19. A Door County favorite for generations the Hagen family continues to entertain to sold out crowds. Never disappointing always exciting your never quite sure what to expect from Julian and the clan but it is always a pleasure. If you’re not in the Christmas spirit after seeing this show your name just might be Scrooge. Watch the slideshow below (wait for it).

The Best Christmas Pageant EVER
For Kids by Kids presented the Best Christmas Pageant EVER at Third Avenue Playhouse last weekend. The kids where awesome, under the direction of Bill Bauernfeind the play was a real crowd pleaser.

Primavera Strings at TAP
Primavera Strings
The Primavera Strings performed Christmas by the Beach at the Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay last weekend. It was an incredible show which started with a special appearance by the students of the Door County String Academy. The students where awesome receiving high praise from Hans Christian (what an honor from one of Door County’s most talented musicians). Then Hans, Lynn Gudmundsen and Beth Hon took the stage. WOW, so much talent on one stage. Performing a mixture of Christmas songs and favorites Primavera Strings was a real crowd pleasure. And they had a few unexpected surprises in store. TAP Works presentation of Neil Simon’s Barefoot In The Park is now running thru April 26,2009 at Third Avenue Playhouse in Sturgeon Bay. Don’t miss this one. Directed by Renee Kujawski and with outstanding performaces by the stars Anne St. Henry as Corie and Stu Champeau as Paul it will keep you entertained throughout. With Bill Bauernfeind as Victor Velasco, Lynn Olson as Ethel Banks, David Magle as the telephone repairman and Margaret Magle as the delivery person there just aren’t any weak links.
